Kim Winokur
Kim Winokur has been practicing law for over 20 years. She has her Bachelor of Arts degree in
Psychology from the University of Michigan, Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and
Masters of Law in Corporate and Finance Law from Wayne State University Law School. She earned
her Certificate from the Probate and Estate Planning Certificate Programs. She is a certified elder law,
domestic law, and civil mediator, bringing compassion and understanding to her practice.
She focuses her law practice on elder care, probate and estate planning, special needs matters, estate
administration, guardianships, conservatorships, and real estate matters. She was a founding partner
of the Michigan Professional Guardianship Group Inc. where she represented the most vulnerable of
adults. Ms. Winokur is a past President of Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, recipient of the
2011 WLAM Mary Foster Leadership Award, and licensed to practice before
the United States District Court-Eastern District, the United States 6th Circuit Court of Appeals,
and the Sault Ste. Marie Chippewa Court.
Ms. Winokur is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its Probate and Estate Planning, Elder Law
and Disability Rights; National Association of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA);
Marquette County Bar Association; & the past President of the Zonta International Club of Marquette Area.
